1982 Suzuki Katana 1000 Custom

1982 Suzuki Katana 1000 Custom, wheels are FZR1000, has a custom 4 into 1 Kerker looks tough in my opinion, front forks have Ohlins stickers and gold nitride tubes but I'm not convinced they are Ohlins.

Dual Brembo front brakes and expensive Ohlins piggy back rear shocks finish it off.

Paint is decent with just one small chip on the tank, headlight fairing has some blemishes.

Someone has spent a lot of money on this bike and I must say it looks good.

Not for the purist but it is a genuine 82 and a rarer 1000cc model it could be taken back to original.

Make a great daily rider or show bike.

Has near new tyres and new battery.

Starts runs and rides nice and sounds awesome.

Originally sold new in the USA, speedo changed to KMPH and original milage said to be 25,000.

Sold Jap Bikes: New Inventory

1982 Suzuki GSX1000SZ

1982 Suzuki GSX1000SZ with only 12,600 miles.

It's no run of the mill Katana, but rather the rare and sought after 1000cc version of the bike. In an attempt to further broaden the appeal of the Katana line, Suzuki decided to take the bike racing. The rules stipulated that they could not use the 1100 variant sold it many markets, so they reduced the bore size 2.6mm to bring the displacement to 998cc. The reduction in engine size did little to effect the power.

Ultra rare in mostly original unrestored condition, everything works, very few of these were built, a factory racer out of the box not to be confused with the 1100 version.

Google says fewer than 3000 worldwide.

We just had the exhaust ceramic coated and, cleaned and synced the carbs, starts and runs perfect ( see video below of the cold start).

Paint is original and very nice overall condition, all electrics work and the battery is near new.

Wheels are undamaged, no rash on the engine covers like some and doesn't look like its ever been dropped.

Has previous registration from 2004 in the USA where most were sold.

We will put new tyres on it for the new owner.

A definite classic for any Suzuki collector.

1996 GSX-R750 SRAD Suzuki

1996 GSX-R750 SRAD   Suzuki heavily revamped this model with a host of features – many of which were derived from the firm’s factory race bikes.

Starting with the frame, the engineers in Hamamatsu abandoned the aluminum double-cradle chassis for the first time since the introduction of the Gixxer, bestowing the 1996 version with a new twin-spar structure based on the RGV GP racer of the day. The new frame was paired with updated fully-adjustable suspension comprised of 43mm inverted Showa forks up front and a monoshock out back. Slowing the 750 was a set of six-piston Tokico calipers chomping down on 320mm discs.

The new engine featured a side cam chain, SCEM (Silicon Carbide Electro-Plate) cylinder, and the model’s namesake SRAD (Suzuki Ram Air Direct) induction system. The most compact and lightweight inline-four in its class, the redesigned engine was able to shirk a good deal of weight via the use of new magnesium cylinder head, starter motor, and clutch covers. On top of the new engine and frame, the ’96 GSX-R also got all-new wind-tunnel-developed bodywork inspired by Kevin Schwantz’s RG500 GP mount. While its improved 130.2hp output, revised chassis, and sleek new appearance were definitely of note, the biggest highlight of the updated model was undoubtedly its weight; a svelte 453 lbs fully fueled and ready-to-go. That not only made it 50 lbs lighter than the outgoing model but also placed it in the same ballpark as the 600 class while boasting more peak power than Honda’s CBR900RR.

This particular bike has done 39,183 km and is in very nice overall condition and has a period correct Yoshimura performance exhaust system and an expensive Ohlin's steering damper.

Wheels will be freshly powerdoated and bike serviced and in Roadworthy condition.

Photos speak for themselves, bike is due here in April.

Sold Jap Bikes: New Inventory

2000 Honda VTR1000 SP1 RC51

2000 Honda VTR1000 SP1 RC51 with 39,760km and in very good condition with no cracked or broken fairings, original mufflers and still has its rear tail which was a common mod.

At the end of 1999, Honda unveiled this big twin. Built in frustration, to demonstrate just what Honda could do if it wanted to, the RC51 VTR1000 SP-1 was a state-of-the-art racing motorcycle that wore its Honda Racing Corporation stickers with pride. The bike was all-new, owing nothing to the previous VTR1000 Firestorm. Like its HRC predecessors, it used expensive-but-necessary luxuries like gear-driven camshafts. It also had the same careful attention to detail that had made the RC30/45 so special. The SP-1 made more power than the Ducati, had more modern design, but carried a price tag only a little above that of a FireBlade. Not only were Honda looking to humiliate Ducati on the track, but in the showroom too.

The SP-1 wasn’t dainty or pretty like a Ducati. It was purposeful and well-hard. The Ducati might have weighed five kg less but Honda’s insistence that the SP-1 be built as well as its other top-spec machines meant that the SP-1’s exhausts were bullet proof.

This example is Aussie delivered as you cannot import these machines, it does have some chips and scratches here and there and the black decals on the upper fairing could be replaced, starts runs and rides without and issues, all electrics work.

Ultra rare and hard to find here in Australia

Sold Jap Bikes: New Inventory

1985 Honda VF1000R

1985 Honda VF1000R with a genuine 18,922km from new, we just did a cosmetic restoration which included a show quality repaint of the fairings and tail section but the tank is still original paint, has brand new tyres front and rear, new battery, carbs were pulled down and thoroughly cleaned.
Almost impossible to find with all the original parts and milage this low they are a true collectors bike.
Developed with the technology to win races, the VF1000R was a massive technological wonder when it was released in Europe; especially when compared to the rather bland “F” model.
Four cylinders arranged in a 90 degree vee formation, double overhead cams spun by gears (oh the glorious sound!) working four valves per cylinder. The frame was of the perimeter variety to cradle the motor, but tech extended to both ends of this machine: Honda’s Pro-Link rising-rate rear suspension (a massive upgrade over twin shock setups) and up front the Torque Reactive Anti-Dive Control (TRAC) anti-dive front fork with nifty quick change axle (a nod to the endurance heritage). With a 16″ front wheel – just like the GP racers – and bodywork and dual headlamp evoking Honda’s endurance racers from Europe, the VF1000R was everything you could want in a race replica and much, much more. Especially in terms of weight. The “R” model looked the look, but tipped in at a very porky mid-500 pound range wet. It also came with a significant increase in price over the “F” model. But you can’t really argue with the look.

2001 Honda VTR1000 SP1 RC51

2001 Honda VTR1000 SP1 RC51 with 38,511 km and in excellent overall condition with no cracked or broken fairings, original mufflers are in nice shape with just a couple tiny dents.

This example is Aussie delivered as you cannot import these machines, it has the rear fender delete kit and aftermarket blinkers but the rest of the bike is original including the paint which is in excellent condition with just one scratch as shown on the RH side seat cowl.

Never dropped or crashed, has a near new battery, Dunlop tyres are 60% tread, starts runs and rides without any issues, all electrics work.

1986 Kawasaki GPZ1000RX

1986 Kawasaki GPZ1000RX with a genuine 22,304 miles and in very original dead stock condition.

Evolved from the 900 cc model, the GPZ1000RX displaced 997 cc’s and laid down 125 hp. Cycle World tested it as the fastest bike they had ever pointed their radar gun at, going by at 159 mph. The strength of the engine was matched by the new perimeter frame and seriously built steering head holding 40mm forks and swingarm supported by Kawasaki’s Uni-Track monoshock. Brakes were dual 280mm front discs and 260mm rear. Weighing in the light-heavyweight area of a little over 500 lbs., handling is helped by 16-inch wheels.

This example is in very decent overall condition, just has a crack through the LH mid fairing but the rest of the panels and paint have no damage.

Exhaust is original and super clean. It starts runs and rides but does have trouble idling when hot and for the price we just don't have the time to look at it.

All electrics work, tyres are 80% tread, brakes have been bled and serviced and seats are unmarked.

Its a lot of bike for the price.

1985 Suzuki GSXR750F

1985 Suzuki GSXR750F with a low genuine 10,360 km from new, this first year Gixxer had the flat side Mikuni carbs and was an instant sucess on the race track and the street.

The new Suzuki Slabside proved it's worth in its initial race outings and it performance could not be questioned. Here are just a few examples:

1985 – One of the first outings for the new model was to the famous Suzuki 8 hours endurance race, where the team placed 3rd.

1985 – The Gixxer broke multiple records in a Cycle World hosted 24 hour endurance test.

1985 – MCN British Superstock Championship won 9/11 races.

1985 – Mick Grant rode a standard version to victory in the Isle of Man TT production class.

This example is super clean with no cracked or broken fairings, it was missing the lower two belly fairings when it arrived so we sourced some quality reproduction fibreglass ones and had them professionally painted, we also had to redo the clearcoat on a couple of fairings where it had let go but the end result is stunning.

We also had the original exhaust ceramic coated, has new Bridgestone Battlax tyres and new battery. All electrics work and it runs and rides like a new bike.

All else is original including the seat covers.

We don't see many as good as this one, check out how clean and original the fork legs are.

I'll post a video of it running.

1983 Suzuki NX85 Turbo

Ultra rare 1983 Suzuki XN85 Turbo with a low 13,240 miles, very original bike that will clean up nicely.  The real trick with this XN85 was not so much the engine, but the chassis. The main frame was a round-tube double-cradle affair, with a triangulated backbone running to the steering head. Up front was a 37mm Kayaba fork, with anti-dive and air-adjustability, providing 5.5 inches of travel. Rake was a conservative 27 degrees, with trail of 3.9 inches. The fork connected to a 16-inch front wheel – which surprised many. Sixteen inches?! That was racing stuff. But even with a pretty lengthy 58.7 inches between axles, the bike handled extremely well. Probably helped along by the Full-Floater rear suspension, using an aluminum swingarm with caged needle bearings, the single Kayaba shock having remote hydraulic preload adjustment. And 4.1 inches of travel.

There were not many Turbo bikes made back in the 80s and this was one of the better ones.

This one is still in Japan and will be here late September, it will be serviced and roadworthy.

1991 Suzuki GSXR1100

1991 Suzuki GSXR1100 with a low 16,138 km from new.

This is an extremely nice bike and is clean from top to bottom as you can see by the photos.

Basic specifications of the ’91 model were 145 horsepower and 497 pounds – heavy nowadays.

A Modern Classic review on Bennetts describes the 1100 Gixxer by saying, “on the open road it was astonishing. Fast and torquey like nothing else I’d ridden, but nimble too, feeling like what I imagined a proper race bike would as it flicked from left to right on the smallest of rider inputs.”

Paint is in very nice original condition and we will fix the scratches on the belly fairings when it arrives.

Never crashed, will be fully serviced when it arrives late August.

1996 Suzuki GSXR750 SRAD

1996 Suzuki GSXR750 SRAD with an original low 11,555 km from new.

Suzuki heavily revamped this model with a host of features – many of which were derived from the firm’s factory race bikes.

This particular bike is in excellent original condition except the 4 into 1 Devil exhaust, it's just had a complete service including flushing all the fuel system, a new tank liner has been installed and all the carbs have been cleaned and vacuum synced.

Tyres are Pirelli and are 70% tread, we just had the wheels powdercoated and we put a new Oring chain on it.

Paint is one of the rarer colours for 96 and is still stunning condition.

The bike starts runs and rides and is 100% roadworthy and ready to go.

It does have a small dent in the frame from a fall during storage see photo. We have flushed the fuel system and cleaned the carbs.

It's been fully serviced and starts, runs and rides without issues and is mechanically sound.

Seats are nice shape with no rips or tears, I'll be posting a video of it running also.

One of the rarer colour combo's and just another great bike by Honda as these were almost bullet proof and very reliable.

1995 Kawasaki ZXR750L

1995 Kawasaki ZXR750L in a very rare and beautiful paint scheme, it’s an Aussie delivered bike with with 31,375 km and has never been ridden in the rain, never had an accident and is 100% original paint.

We purchased this from the original owner.

It does have a few small scratches on the RH lower fairing and a scuff on the front guard that would almost polish out, apart from that it’s just a stunning bike with no fading to any of the paint.

It’s just had a full service and is ready to ride, has a Pipe masters carbon exhaust, comes with the ZXR02 plate as well but is currently unregistered. The early ZXR750s and ZX7s are extremely collectible nowadays and you would be hard pressed to find another one in this paint scheme and condition.

Come with tool kit and owners manual and 2 keys.
